Bee's Knees General Store & Bakery is the culmination of years of dreaming and scheming. Sue Littleton (she/her) and Candice Zaina (they/them) are a couple of food nerds who have brought a combined 40+ years in food service and hospitality to their little corner of the Annapolis Valley. Sue's family has deep roots in the tiny village of Lawrencetown and she has always wanted to return to this region to bring to life her vision of bringing consumers and growers together through delicious treats. 

Candice started out as a chef, then moved to nose to tail butchery and is now working on mastering all aspects of sourdough baking and classic UK inspired pastry. Candice's Italian roots and commitment to sourcing fresh and local are evident in every bite that comes out of the Bee's Knees Kitchen & Bakery. 

Together, this dynamic duo brings love and delectable eats paired with Nova Scotian crafted artisan wares and pantry items, all in their vibrant community hub where there is always a seat at the table.
